To connect your LinkedIn Offline Conversions API (OC) with your Source, you should follow the steps below:

  1. Click on the Create New Bridge button

  2. Under Source, select the integration from which you want to retrieve the data sent to LinkedIn OC (we will use Mailchimp as an example)
  3. Then, select your Destination integration, which in this case will be LinkedIn Offline Conversions API.

  4. Configure your Source according to the Segmentation and data you want to sync (we will be retrieving the entities collected in a specific Mailchimp List for these guidelines)
  5. Next, we will connect our LinkedIn account by clicking on the Connect LinkedIn Offline Conversion API dropdown and then on Create a new integration(you can alternatively select an account that you have previously connected)

6. A popup window will open to start the LinkedIn OAuth process; click on Authorize

7. Type your LinkedIn account credentials to proceed with the authorization process

8. Then, under Type your integration’s name, type the name you want to assign to that specific LinkedIn account within your LeadsBridge account, and click on Continue; this will help you identify it for future Bridges you may create.

9. Now that the LinkedIn account has been successfully created, we can specify the Ad Account, Conversion, Sync Each, and Start Sync at we want to use in our Bridge

  • Ad Account is the Advertiser Account that contains the Conversion
  • Conversion is the container in which the data from your Source will be uploaded; if you don’t have a container yet, you can create one directly from LeadsBridge by clicking on + create under the Conversion dropdown.
  • Sync Each is the sync frequency by which the Bridge will upload the data from your Source; you may choose between every 3 Hours, 6 Hours, 12 Hours, 24 Hours, 48 Hours, or One Week.
  • Start Sync is the time in which the first syncing process will start
  1. Once we have selected those, we can click on Continue and proceed to the Fields Mapping step
  2. This is the Fields Mapping step; in this step, we need to match the data coming from the Source with the data we want to send to the Destination;

LinkedIn requires some fields to allow the data to upload into their system, you can identify those fields with a * (star), those fields are:
  • Conversion Happened At is the timestamp at which the conversion event happened
  • Conversion Type is the type of Conversion (e.g., “LEAD”).
  • First Name and Last Name or Email
  1. Finally, you should click on Save & Publish and wait till the syncing process starts

Now you are ready to start! Be sure to log in to LinkedIn Campaign Manager in order to Set Up an Offline Conversion and select Campaigns to track conversion rules.
