Formulas - How to split the Full Name into First and Last Name?

The following Formulas are used to retrieve the First Name or the Last Name from the Full Name field:

• TEXT >> FIRST NAME
• TEXT >> LAST NAME

For example: If you have a Facebook Lead Ads form with the Full name field, let’s say John Doe, but then your CRM wants the First name (John) and Last name (Doe) to be separated, you should use this function.

1. Head over to the Fields Mapping step of your bridge
2. Switch the bridge to the Editing mode on the top right
3. Click the three dots next to the field, a**nd select the Add Formula option
4. Search for TEXT » FIRST NAME, or TEXT » LAST NAME
5. From the drop-down menu next to Field 1, select the value that contains the Full name. If you have a second field from your Source where you’re receiving the Full name, select it from the drop-down menu next to Field 2; if the value coming on Field 1 is empty, the second value will be assigned
6. On the Default Value type box, you can assign a value that will be used in case Field 1 and Field 2 are empty
7. Click on Confirm and Save&publish to save the changes

Important note: These functions will split the content of the field in two parts by setting the first part as the First Name and the second as the Last Name.
