You may have noticed that sometimes we refer to segments or entities, and you may wonder what they are.
Those concepts belong to the CRM or tool you’re integrating with. Check your tool’s specific documentation to know more about the concepts available.
Segment
A segment is formally the resulting list of contacts filtered for some information.
Each tool has its own segments available. However, you may find lists, groups, deals, pipelines, etc.
You’ll be required to choose the segmentation inside the integration settings while configuring your bridge.
In this example, you may view your segments as Campaigns, Deal phases or Tags. This means that you can add leads to specific campaigns, to specific deal phases, or directly to the CRM by selecting the last option available, Tags.
Entity
An entity is used to model and manage business data in CRM.
Contacts, Deals, Leads, etc. are all entities that hold data records. Conceptually, a CRM entity is equivalent to a database table.
For example, the Contacts entity would hold contact records, the Cases entity would hold case records, and so on.
By choosing the entity, you’ll be able to select which information concept you’d like to handle within your bridge.
