The SANITIZE NAME formula is used to return or split a text string, or to remove emojis and other undesired characters from a field.

For example, you are getting the lead Full Name data with emojis, and you want to retrieve just the First Name without the emojis.

  1. Head over to the Fields Mapping step of your bridge
  2. Switch the bridge to the Editing mode on the top right
  3. Click the three dots next to the field, and select the TEXT » SANITIZE NAME option
  4. From the drop-down menu next to Field, select the value that contains the Full Name.
  5. Select the changes that you need to apply to the field: Remove Punctuation, Remove Numbers, Remove Emoji, and Convert Unicode Characters.
  6. Once you’ve selected the Yes or No options, type NO under the Transform field, and select First Name under Extract text
  7. Click on Confirm and Save&publish to save the changes.

The changes will be applied after the bridge is reactivated and by using one formula you will be able to exclude emoji and split the full name field.
