When creating a bridge from Facebook to your Automotive CRM, it may happen that you need to send to your Automotive CRM the Stock, the Make, the Model and/or the Year of the car, but you only have the VIN (which in Facebook is called Retailer Item ID).
You can fix this situation in two ways:
1. You can reach out to the Support team to enable the Facebook Automotive Ads feature for you. This option allows to create the bridge with a standard configuration.
2. You can use the function that we have in our list to help you with the mapping of the vehicle fields from your Facebook catalog via CSV file.
First, you need to make sure to have the CSV file containing the relationships between the VIN, Stock, Make, Model and Year and make it accessible online.
This is easily achievable as most of the CRMs have this functionality.
Note: for more information on how to get this on your CRM contact your CRM support.
This is an example of what the CSV file should look like:
With this file, we can map stock, make, model and year starting from the VIN.
To do that we need to use the UTILS ยป VALUE LOOKUP FROM CSV function on our bridge.
We must set up the function in order to convert vin to stock. You should then repeat this process for the make, model and year.
This is it!
