When creating a bridge from Facebook to your Automotive CRM, it may happen that you need to send to your Automotive CRM the Stock, the Make, the Model and/or the Year of the car, but you only have the VIN (which in Facebook is called Retailer Item ID).

How to fix this situation:

You will use a function in the field mapping step to map the vehicle fields from your Facebook catalog via a CSV file.

First, you need to make sure to have a CSV file containing the relationships between the VIN, Stock, Make, Model and Year and make it accessible online.

Note: for more information on how to get this on your CRM contact your CRM support.

This is an example of what the CSV file should look like:

With this file, we can map stock, make, model and year starting from the VIN.

To do that we need to use the UTILS » VALUE LOOKUP FROM CSV function in our bridge, in the field mapping step of the bridge, to convert vin to stock. You should then repeat this process for each field: make, model and year.
